Towards a new generation of outsourcing

Our CEO Aurélien tells us about Everping's beginnings and how, more than two years ago, we decided to move towards a new generation of outsourcing! Happy reading :-)

The facts

In March 2020, in full confinement, Nicolas and I conducted over 120 interviews with managers and CTOs of startups and SMEs. A simple observation quickly became apparent: most of them find thatmanaging computers and software is time-consuming and requires expertise. It's often an obligation for the person who handles it by default today, as it's neither their job nor the mission for which they were recruited.

- You have to buy computers, configure them, secure them, keep them up to date, replace them in the event of loss or theft, and sometimes send them to telecommuting colleagues or to another office...

- There' s a definite lack of visibility: who has which computer? Are all my computers secure and up to date?

- Most tasks are manual and not very automated: "I'd like to activate an antivirus on all 80 PCs in my company" or "we have an excel file for our computer inventory"

- Securing PCs and Macs is becoming a priority: signing deals with major accounts, setting up cybersecurity insurance or the presence of a regulator very often require it, when the main reason is not simply the desire to protect customer data
- The number of software packages in SaaS mode is multiplying every year, and the administration of these tools is time-consuming, without added value, and also sometimes proves to be a headache (creating email, creating accesses in the software, transferring the drive, archiving emails....)

- Employees need support and assistance : CTOs and Office Managers are familiar with "I've lost my password", "Can you give me an Excel license", "My computer is slow" or "I need a new computer"

. Yet they all agree that this management is crucial to ensuring their growth, securing their customers' data or ensuring the productivity of their teams.

Current solutions

Our 2nd observation is that current solutions are largely disappointing and not very digitalized. And yet, the automation of tasks and/or their simplification through technology is clearly the future.

Traditional players - outsourcers - make little or no use of technology to improve their business and automate what can be automated. They respond in hours or even days, and their way of operating has changed very little over the last 20 years

Recruiting a dedicated team represents a very high operational cost for most of them. What's more, setting up a team requires bringing together a number of different areas of expertise: knowledge of Windows and MacOs, security expertise, knowledge of the main SaaS solutions, support expertise...

How did we launch Everping?

We took this widely shared frustration as the starting point for quitting our jobs and launching our own business 2 years ago. However, we quickly realized that a 100% tech solution was not enough, as the market was looking for the final, turnkey service:

- A 100% secure and up-to-date fleet of computers

- Time-saving operational tasks

- Rapid assistance and support for their employees

- Advice and expertise

This is why we decided to build an offer that combines the best of both worlds: tech to simplify management and automate what can be automated, and human expertise and super-responsive support. (When you need help, nobody wants to talk to a chatbot or call a hotline for 30 minutes with Vivaldi).

Our mission

Our mission since that day hasn't changed: to create the modern solution for startups and SMEs to simplify their day-to-day business, secure their data and ensure employee productivity.
Along the way, we've taken the decision to raise funds, assemble a team of top profiles (of whom we couldn't be prouder!), develop our management platform and build an unrivalled human service!
There's still a lot to do along the way, a lot to improve and challenge. We've only just begun the adventure, but we're determined to build the next-generation solution for startups and SMEs!
